bwahahahahaaa! for ccs, i can tolerate the movies in english, but other than the couple episodes i watched of cardcaptors on tv, i've never seen/heard ccs in english. and cardcaptors, the va's make me want to scratch my ears off xD the movies had english va's that weren't horrible, but i still watch them subbed.

i tried the link, but i'll have to finagle things around since i have adblockers.

Yeah I've seen the series on tv and the movies, which the first one was actually the dub cast I liked, the 2nd one they weren't bad, but if you see the non nelvana english dub, that one is bad. They did keep more in line with what the characters say in japanese, but it's like the VA's just didn't care about the roles and were saying things dully compared to the nelvana cast that was more enthusiastic. (granted Cardcaptors basically was one of the first shows I saw that I knew was actual anime, saw sailor moon prior but didn't know it was anime till years later XD) But outside of watching the first movie with the dub on occasion, I prefer the sub all the way on that one. One of these days though I am going to go back and rewatch Inuyasha with the Japanese voices just because i like rotating XD.

Meant to do this earlier this week, but PT kicked my butt. Tam said to tell you she's alright, but no luck yet with the internet. Also, were there any Valentine's day items?

yeh, i spent a LOT getting the series in the uncut, subbed versions, but i scored on the movies. i think i got them off ebay for $15 for both the first one and the special edition second one. they were maybe watched once or twice at max, and came with the special "photo book" for the 2nd movie and each had a pencil board. i'm still trying to find all the promo postcards from the series' dvds. i think i only have one...yep, just checked. i only have the happy valentine's day one from my original volume 2 dvd i got 10+ years ago xD from what i could research, the postcards didn't come in every single dvd, but i've found at least 14 different ones. i'm hoping to find someone who is selling the whole collection of promo postcards in a lot and buy it right out. i have no desire to buy the dvd set as individual discs xD i bought the collection in the clow and sakura book sets. they are the exact same as the individual uncuts, but they are in a flip book jewel case thing xD 9 dvds in each, separated by the arcs. i need to sell off my volume 1 and 2 dvds hehehhe...no sense having doubles of things, even though i love the artwork on each.

I'm not aware of any set that was released that has the dvds split up by arcs. Granted I only know of both the original 18 volume release set, and the one done by Nisa which is 4 standard edition sets, or one huge set which has both the sub version and the dub i am not fond of which is their premium version of the release.

i believe they were limited editions...but i could be wrong. found an ebay listing for both sets, the clow book and sakura book.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cardcaptor-Saku ... 2578330615

they are the exact dvds as the 18-disc individual dvds pioneer released, but in a compact casing. in the last picture that seller has up, you can kinda see the way each disc is on a "page"

Ah I recognize them now. I'm saving up for the Nisa release myself, the cases are fairly nice and getting the premium edition also gets you a poster and bluray copies as well as dvd copies

http://store.nisamerica.com/anime/premi ... um-edition

Misremembered about the dvd part, it's bluray only, but there is it. Nisa is both a game company and they localize some anime's, CCS being one they got the license for within the past couple of years.
