I'm still working on The Chessmen of Mars (Barsoom #5) by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

I just finished reading The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.
I thought it was pretty good! It wasn't as scary as the foreword said it would be, but there were some decently unsettling parts.
The way narration shifted points of view to imply possession or loss of control was really cool. It really helped get more immersed in the story. It was my first time seeing that technique, as I'm not a horror fan at all and I've read very few ghost stories before, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a staple of the genre!

The closest I got to reading Dracula was after I read this comic summary of it.

It made it seem less scary...but nope, can't do it.

Right now I'm going through a collection of short Sword-and-Sorcery fiction from the early 1900s called Warriors and Warlocks. It's old and snappy and lovely.

I'm reading The Bloodbound by Erin Lindsey. I'm not very far into it yet, but it seems promising.
