Aivio nodded and smiled at the woman.
"You will have to show me your shop at some point, hopefully with my upcoming job I'll be able to get quite a bit of inventory to trade with". She kept her smile but she lied, that's one thing she was good at. Her main worry right now was on how to survive with the change in pay of her job.
"As long as you have enough materials for now, then I suppose it's fine. I only have this morning shift for today". Aivio's stood from her perched position and stretched her arms into the air, letting out a huge yawn. Her eyes quickly scimmed her watch and realised an hour had just passed. "Woah, that's gone rather quick, morning shifts are usually the worst. Only two more hours to go!".
As Aivio was just about to answer the question, she suddenly tilted her head as she thought she heard a rumble from above her position, slowly moving her right hand to unsheathe her sword. "Be absolutely still for just one second". Her appearance seemed to instantly change as her eyes filled with tension.
Suddenly, a purple figure leaped from a nearby tree and sprinted directly towards Aivio's legs. She quickly lunged towards her enemy, latching onto her shield and slamming it into the creatures rear, causing the creature's leg to buckle. Her sword followed swiftly; stabbing into the creature's abdominal area. As the now dead foe started to dissipated, she quickly took a small bottle from her pocket and caught some of floating dust, sealing the lid tight.
"Yes! I'm going to dine like a Queen tonight!". She fist pumped the air, her personality immediately going back to her optimistic self, not without noticing the huge smug grin on her face. "About these critters you say? I've fought a few, none any bigger than the one that just tried to get the best of us. Those tend to be the most stupid, the clever ones don't come anywhere near the city, they know better than to mess with me. I could easily take them on but our ranks only get to take care of these buggers". She started flipping the bottle in her hand, catching it in glee. "We fill up the bottles to trade with dust keepers, the bottles are made to stop it from dissipating to the atmosphere... They say they use it to help with farming as it increases the rate of growth. Honestly, creatures don't show up much, which makes the job a little boring at times, but days like these really make it pay off!"
She looked at Melyna and pointed directly at her.
"You're my lucky charm, I mean, that creature could of launched at you instead of me but... you're definitely my lucky charm!" Aivio continued to laugh at herself...
