Gaia was fun at the beginning. And then I joined the Chatterbox crowd and kind of got sucked into this elitist bitchy group. e___e; One of my real-life friends was already in that group when I joined so I went straight into being friends with these awful people who name-dropped each other all the time and generally ignored everyone else (they also liked swearing/being vulgar for no reason?)... A few were really nice, but they were rarities.
Then Subeta was basically the same thing. O_O; A real-life friend was already semi-famous there so I got sucked straight into that crowd. Again, elitism. Not to the scale of Gaia, but still enough that I wasn't comfortable. Did not like.
But yeah, at least both sites were very active. Does KofK advertise itself a lot? I only found this place by literally googling "sites like gaia and subeta" >>;
Haha my parents used to be like that until I pointed out that wouldn't it be better if I had a "trial" run with someone I may marry by living with them for a year or so first? Imagine if I married someone then found out they're a nightmare to live with... What a struggle it would be, with the divorce and everything. So they're a lot more open to the idea now. But only if I'm in a super serious relationship to begin with.
Haha not sure about in Australia, but definitely allowed in Japan. Like some guy married his pillow. And another one married a video game character...
