I randomly name my knuffel after book characters which they remind me of, or words in other languages that remind me of their elements. I like the idea of themes, but never manage to remember to do it.

I've started with naming them alphabetically. So my first regular and wild girl and boy knuffles would all have names that begin on the letter A, and then B and so forth. I don't know how I'll do with the event knuffles though. And I also like to give my knuffles unusual names.

If you're talking to me, and I don't reply, it's likely because there's no ping system when you quote someone on this site

Some I just picked names I liked (the earlier ones). Then I started characters from books. I have the 9 Bright Shiners from the Abhorsen series, a lot of the characters with the Dragonkin series, some of the Chronicles of the Warlands series (both of those are cheesy romance books, but whatever, they're at least unique-ish names), and also some of my friend's and my RP characters.

Something related to, or just random name that come up to my mind xD
But for some wildies, I named them just exactly how the creator named them. That, unless I have some other name in my mind~

By the shop ones the moment I see them I usually have a name popping in my mind. With the wild ones I have no idea it's a different method every time. :D

I usually go to a babyname site and pick a name with a fitting meaning or sometimes some name that "sounds like the knuffel". Sometimes I pick a word in a foreign language (like Spanish, Latin, Elvish, ...) and change it a little bit so that it sounds more like a name.

I usually name them with greek names since they are timeless.
Out side of that I name them based on their element or color

I usually name my knuffel based on their element. For this, I go to a baby name site and pick one that I think fits the knuffel. Sometimes I just come up with a name that's related to their appearance. If they remind me of a book character, I'll name them after that character.
