Personally I think sunspot was well done. The detail was nice and there was a lot of detail. The coloring was neat too. I name mine Spotty since their too many sun theme wild, I ran out of name.

Maybe a spear with a fish? I love kingfisher, so bright and colorful and those large beak are so pretty. Yea, their beak are my favorite part of this bird. (well toucan have prettier beak but that just cuz it rainbow in color)

and lol lack luster is just a phrase, like lame or exquisite, ect it doesnt neccisarrly mean shiny when used in a scentence for something different, just not as impressive as it should be.
