Megami, the search option was disabled as it was taxing on the server. It's probably not going to return in a long while.

You could always change your posting default to make you subscribe to every thread you post in, which will put all the thread you post in into your subscribed thread area making it easier for you to find, but then expect to be flooded by emails telling you someone posted in the thread you subscribed to every day.



You get fp for every time someone feeds YOUR knuffel. And new knuffels will be introduced soonish so you'll have that option, as well. But as Firn always says, it doesn't make sense for you to earn FP for FEEDING someone else's knuffel; in fact, it would make more sense to have FP TAKEN AWAY from you. So I doubt this feature will be implemented soon, either.



Now, if you want to know how to edit your posting default so that you subscribe to every thread you ever post in automatically, you can follow these instructions:

My Account >> Board Preferences >> Edit Posting Defaults >> Notify me upon replies by default >> yes

You can look under each posting box when you hit reply and unclick the box next to the text that says "notify me when a reply is posted" to keep yourself from subscribing from that thread, if you wish to.


Also, because I don't like emails, I prefer to just scroll up on the threads I post in and just click on the "Bookmark this Thread" button under the button on top that says "reply" instead. This will also put the thread in your "my account" area under "bookmarked threads", but won't send you emails every time someone replies to that thread.

Everything gives you gold on Gaia? o_o That's news to me... the only way to make decent gold there that I know of is selling art. Everything else just gives you like, 50 gold. Which helps nothing. The reason items cost millions is because of the rigs. You have to buy with real cash a bunch of rig items, in the hopes that in one of them a super rare item appears. These items are so rare that you can spend like 100 dollars and never get one. I would know, believe me. So these rare items become super expensive. And all the other cool items cost real money too. That's made the economy go crazy, same thing's happening at other places *coughTinierMecough*

I find it really hard to make FPs on here, and I don't see how giving more FPs per post would make people spam more -they'd probably spam less because that way they don't NEED to spam as much, since spamming seems to be the only way to get FPs anyway.

A site where money-making is very balanced is Subeta -if you work on the daily quests and you learn how to best play them, you can make a lot of money in a week, but it's not that easy -you have to dedicate yourself to the quests everyday. It's not a chance thing -you don't have to be lucky, it depends on your brains.

I just think a quest system here where we are granted FPs instead of more items, would be better. Or just any other way to make FPs.

-Oh and also about getting FPs for feeding knuffell -I don't see how that wouldn't make sense. It's how it works on Valenth, and encourages everyone to feed the pets. Otherwise there really isn't any encouragement. I don't wanna spend my time feeding people's knuffels for no reason when I could be spamming the forums and earning FP =P And it's reward for helping someone else's pet.

From what I remember, even moving to a different page gave you gold in Gaia; did it not?

I do think people will spam more if posts gave more fp per post. Right now, people poll-whore more than spam, I think.

I do understand the extra encouragement for helping others, though. But I guess you can do good in hopes that the favour would be returned? I think this is why so many people post in other people's knuffel threads saying "fed!"

Moving to a different page gives you like 5 gold. That's same as nothing! XD If I didn't sell art there or spent real money there, I'd never have any of the items I want. The closest thing to DECENT gold that actually lets you buy anything on there is the Booty Grab game with the aquariums, but that was before they were nerfed and now the max that can make you is like 1k per day. Which is still NOTHING.

Anyway, if poll whoring gave the same amount as spamming, people wouldn't spam more than they poll whore, so there would still be balance ;) OR even better, instead of giving more FPs for posting, make that voting on polls gives more FPs. Tada!

From the threads I've seen, when people post saying "fed", it's usually so they will feed their own Knuffels in return, yes (except when it's just newbies without their own Knuffel, I guess they just don't know what to do on the site -I know that's how it went for me). It works that way on Squiby too (or used to the last time I checked). But having the owner make a profit seems backwards. Babysitters don't pay the mother to babysit her children, lol! Not to mention, hunting a Knuffel thread to write "fed" and HOPING a lot of people will feed your Knuffel so you can earn some FPs isn't the most reliable way to make FPs. If you suddenly need FPs cause you went broke, clicking on Knuffels on people's signatures and immediatly making that FP, through YOUR work, seems tons better. A guarantee of a win-win situation, the person has their pet fed, and you get payed for feeding it.
Of course, I know it all involves coding, so it's not just a matter of it "making sense", it's complicated and takes a lot of work. But saying the reason is that it doesn't make sense, well... doesn't make sense o.O'
(my Panda Knuffel is only fed through manual Click Exchange sites)

It takes me 1 day to make 500 fps here. [Well I know I'm slow.] And I usually go online for 3-4 hours per day or more, I think. =/ So if it gave me 5 fps every time I move to a different page, then I'd happily keep quiet and refresh the page seeing as it is much easier to make 500 fps per day that way. Since a page will normally take 5 secs to load, so if I keep doing it in an hour, I will have around 600 fps. =/ With all the mules and the spam post, inflation will sure happen.
[And um... I play booty grab for about an hour and I can get 10k or even more.]

I'm not sure how other people will think, but I would still continue spamming if that happened. I mean... I can get more fps, and having fps lying around is always good, so "Bah! Why not continue spamming?". [Well I know I'm greedy. =/]
And so here comes the inflation.

And the new Knuffel now work differently. =/ They no longer grant fps if I'm not wrong. But I'm sure if you feed them now, you'll get more rare materials later. Not to mention there's the have-yet-to-release battle system.

Oh yeah; I just remembered another reason that someone gave for not giving feeder food; Knuffels can be fed by people who aren't logged into the site. So if feeding it grants YOU food, then if you're not logged in, where does the fp go? Something like that.

If you're not logged in, you don't make FPs, but the Knuffel is still fed. What's wrong with that? Again, it's how it works on Valenth, and it works well, because it encourages people to register and log in to the site ;)

It took me like a day to level my Knuffel up, and I didn't see that I gained any significant amount of FPs (meaning I didn't even notice how much I got). Can't say that's a good way to make FPs then, can I?
I'm still getting more FPs through putting my old Knuffel in Click Exchange sites, but it's still like 1 or 2k per day, if I do it all day long (which I can't, obviously).

Edea, srsly, 10k on Booty Grab? Do share how you do it o_o (somewhere else) I can barely get the thing to load and make like 100 gold with each play! Unfortunately I also don't have 1 hour to play it, but you can't win them all. Still, taking 2 days to make a comission makes me 300k. I'd rather spend my time on that *shrugs*

A fairy item can cost over 50k, if that's not inflation already, I don't know what is. Sure, 50k compared to Gaia's 43574867 million items seems cheap, but if there's no good way to make FPs, getting to 50k is hard as hell for people who don't spend all day on the site, or don't get lucky to hit the lottery and find a fairy...
I'm not saying to start distributing FPs, just maybe make another, reliable way, to make a little bit more FPs you know?

    When you buy a Knuffel you can get around 4x the amount of food you spend on buying it if you level it up. The amount of food you get is very low at the beginning but raises with every level-up.

    The former food-per feed ability was disabled because there were people using auto-refreshers massively, some of them earning over 1000000 food just by running auto-refreshers over them for weeks.

    I am sad we had to disable the option because of a few idiots like this, but these people were the same people who were able to bid on every item in the marketplace with whatever amount they wanted making the prices raise like crazy for some items.

    I understand that people want more food, but the prices in the stores are adjusted to the amount of food you can get here easily. Even if you aren't online and active for a long time each day you can still buy at least one of the Bananarama items every day or every second day. That's way more clothes than I can buy in real life.

    About prices of past event items /MTs / etc - the prices depend on many factors, supply demand etc, but ONE of the factors is also how much food people have.
    If everyone was able to earn 10x as much food, these prices would go up by almost 10x as much and this is not what we want. We cannot prefent a natural raise of these prices, but more food in the "economy" simply means inflation and we want to keep that to a minimum.
    Just imagine - you said a fairy item was 50K now. That's because that's the amount some people are willing and some people can spend on it. If these people would earn more food, they would outbid each other and the same item would just be worth more, making it in no way more attainable for you.


    Therefore earning masses of food here will always not be easy. It's not meant to be easy. As said, make a few posts, make a few polls and you can buy an item for banarama easily. Other stores like Lunatic Fringe are meant for saving up for a longer period of time. The prices of Fairy items, Event items and TT items depend, among other factors on how much food is floating in the economy. I am not saying that this is the only factor, but it still is, one significant factor.

    Though we will add more ways to earn food in the future, this will never be a site where you can get massive amounts of food each day and no feature will give you a mass of food.

I really didn't mean to make it sound as if I wanted massive amounts of FPs, just a little bit more.
Getting FPs for feeding Knuffel instead of having them be fed would still have the auto-refreshers problem if you only could feed each Knuffel once a day? Cause then these people would have to click on a different user's Knuffel each time, and wouldn't be able to put their Knuffel to be fed by auto-refreshers, you know? If they tried to feed the same Knuffel they wouldn't get FPs again, cause they'd only be able to get that once per Knuffel, per day. But I guess then we'd be copying Valenth's system >.>'

I suppose you could buy all the store clothes, though I have barely any store clothes because if I bought them I'd miss out on all the cool MT and TT items.
I still think finding fairies could be a bit more- balanced I guess, but no matter.

The new Knuffel system sure is exciting though :D And I have to say, I love how we can still get things without spending real money on the site -this actually makes me want to donate more often.
