just wanted to write down what happened earlier today because i can't sleep :I

So earlier from 3:30-5:00pm I had my class in Philosophy, where I'm kind of the point person / beadle. After class finished I went straight home, and I probably got back around 5:30pm or so. Some time later in the evening, a classmate contacted me saying that they couldn't find their phone, and believed that someone might've stolen it (oh noes). Naturally I didn't want to just ignore the issue, so I talked to her more about it.

Her phone had internet and the location open, so we actually got to see where the phone went before whoever took it turned it off. It was weird because initially we had assumed the phone only moved after class (and that meant it was wholly possible one of our other classmates did it), but then when I asked her about earlier activities, it turned out the phone was already moving by 3:45pm. We were both in class.

Even more strangely is that the phone kept moving around the campus (and nowhere near the lost and found place, to boot). By 6pm, the phone exited campus and into a nearby commercial establishment, where it was then turned off. At first I was thinking that maybe the person could've passed through a place that might've had cameras, but taking a closer look at Google Maps showed that whoever it was took all the normal, outdoor paths (so no CCTV).

I feel that it's a long shot to ask if the guards remember anyone around that time, and it seems highly unlikely that the phone's GPS was messing up (it was following a clear path outside the campus). Really we could only hope that whoever stole the phone would open it again. Of course my classmate is hopeful in getting it back, but considering that the person didn't think about turning it in or trying to contact her is worrying.

Anyway yeah, that's it so far! I was mulling over looking around to see if there are any cameras I missed, but I'm a bit pessimistic about it. o 3 o Now I should head to bed xD
