I've been sick for about a week and I finally got to see my doctor.
I had to fill out paperwork for whatever reason.
Anyways, it asked for my sexual orientation.
I can see why a doctor would ask, but why does it have to be in your paperwork and files?
I know it can be used to help with certain medical issues, but couldn't a doctor just ask?
There was an option not to share.
But it seems unnecessary to me to fill out paperwork on your medical history and have to put your sexual orientation?
Medical history, allergies, current medications, gender, name, birth date, sexual orientation.
Those just don't seem to be the same.

I am sick and my brain is foggy right now, so maybe I'm just not seeing the point.
I could barely write my name and find my way around the place.

WishingMoon: Possibly. I just don't see why it's necessary for your files. If they look you up, it will be listed in your information. Unless you choose not to share it. But I don't get why it's necessary still.
