I've experienced a lot of death in my almost 30 years.

I had a teacher die when I was about 4 years old.
My grandma died from lung cancer when I was 5 years old.
My grandpa lost his best friend who I always talked to when I was around 8.
My friend died when I was about 10 and she was 13.
Some random relatives have died.
My mom's friend that I knew died from cancer before 2006.
My grandpa died from lung cancer in 2008.
A friend I made on this site died from cancer in 2009.
My great grandma died from lung cancer around 2010.
My neighbor died from cancer around 2011.
One of my favorite teachers died around 2012.
My grandma died in 2015, I believe.
Family friend died the same year as my grandma.

And don't get me started on pets.
I've lost several of them.

I know I've missed some.
But the list continues.

My point for making this is that I've come across people close to my age, that haven't lost many, if any people.
That's awesome, but it's weird to me.

It's hard when someone you care about, dies.
As someone that believes in an afterlife and spirits, it's not as hard.
Though, I'm afraid of dying and others dying.
Part of me feels that I'll never see them again.

Have you had many people die?

I can taste it in your tears."

You have hugged Carrot Cake!

hmm yes but I never usually feel sad or upset by it. I guess the people who have died in my life I havent been very close to them. I think if a close friend or family dies I will feel very upset.

I guess I been lucky up to now... I never had any pets either :mcheh:

@Moi:
That's really sad to hear. I'm amazed how well you're able to cope with it. Though there's not much of a choice in a situation like that...

I'm not too experienced in a situations like these. Most of my relatives died before I was actually born... Though I've already lost the ones that were closest to me. My grandmother who raised me, at the age of 9. The uncle I liked few years ago. The aunt I was pretty close to at the end of last year. And my second grandmother I was really close with, who always encouraged me, this year. I'm still not over it yet, I think I still need more time...
Oh, and I think I'm more or less the same age as you, Moi. In my late twenties.

Well, I guess that's how the life is. Some people don't experience any losses, while the others have many of them. And some only a few.

At school I had two cases that my classmate lost their mother. In both cases they were really close with them and not really close at all with their fathers. That was truly a mess...

I want to practise my English. If you see any mistakes, please send me a pm.

Why do some people use such a small font size? It hurts my eyes... :mcdead:

Carrot Cake: I know people who've lost pets and it made them not want any more.
I've had family I'm not close to die and it didn't really affect me.
One died last year from a motorcycle accident.
It was sad, and I felt bad, but I didn't know them.

Flora: ;3; -hug-

Arachne: Well, I do think I saw my grandpa two years after he died.
So that made me feel a bit better about people dying.

I'm sorry you've lost loved ones. Grandmas and grandpas are especially hard to handle.
I get sad when I see kids with grandparents xD;

My mom actually went into cardiac arrest twice a few years ago.
They were able to bring her back both times.
I was so overwhelmed with fear and anger and grief.

I actually had a family member go to the store to get gas in her car.
She dropped dead from a brain aneurysm.

You could say the time and love you share and the memories you make, make up for losing them.

I've had my cat for over 10 years now, and I know it'll break my heart when she dies.
I'm scared when I try to hold her, and I can't find her.
We had a cat go missing so he could die.
We found his remains years later.
So I freak out when I can't find her xD
But I love her and I'm glad I have her.
She was a tiny, frail little kitten and my mom said she wouldn't make it, but she's over 10 years old now.

To have someone you can spend time with and talk to and pet and play fetch with...it's worth it, I guess xD

Last year was the first in some time I didn't lose family or friends.
This year I lost a good friend to suicide.
It was quite sad and came out of nowhere.

I'm sorry for all your losses.
