Hello everyone, it is time for our Winter Event 2016!
All of you who were here for previous winter events already know what Doughnight is about. For the rest of you:

Once every year the residents of the Kingdom Of Knuffel experience a rare and exciting phenomenon. On the night of the 24th of December the planet on which our beloved Kingdom can be found is placed in exact position between the huge sun and the moon. The planet throws a shadow on the moon, causing it to look like a giant doughnut in the sky seen from the Kingdom. In addition to that the constellation of the bunny is clearly visible on that very night, which results in the visual effect of a bunny jumping over the doughnut-like moon.
On the 24th all of the residents of the Kingdom gather under the clear sky to watch the exciting event.

For this special celebration the kingdom offers the Doughnight Calendar: A Calendar to count down till Doughnight and gather special event items!
You can visit the Doughnight Calendar and open a window of the calendar each day, starting December 1st. The 1st window can be opened on December 1st, the 2nd on December 2nd and so on. The windows open according to KOfK Server Time. If you missed out on one, you can open it on a later date! The Calendar will stay open a few days after the 24th, so those of you busy with Christmas celebrations will be able to catch up afterwards. Key fragments can already be found and collected starting now!
How does it work?
In order to open a window you need a key. One key each per window.
This is new this year: You can open the same window as many times as you like, as long as you have enough keys!
How to get keys?
You can create keys from key fragments. You need 8 key fragments to create 1 key.

⇒ You can find key fragments hidden around the site.
They are big, hard to miss and they are not pop-ups. There are 4 key fragments to be found every hour. The fragments are hidden in varius fixed places all around KOfk, like for example the Shops, the Art Gallery, the Knuffel feeding page, the forums and so on. Don't worry, you don't need to search in all pages of the forum or in every users Knuffel feeding list etc. If a key is hidden on a site like this, it will appear right on the first forum page you open. If there is not one on the frst page, you don't need to continue searching in the forums.

Disclaimer
After one hour 4 new keys appear and unclaimed key fragments disappear. There is a timer on your Doughnigt Calendar page showing you when new key fragments become available.
Technically you could find 96 key fragments (=12) keys a day. So don't worry if you don't have much time and don't find all of the fragments you need for a a key within a day. You might have more luck on the next day and can just open a window of the Doughnight Calendar later.
⇒ You can also get 2 whole keys each day by obtaining the Winter 16 Gingerbread Man from the Living Empire and putting it in one of your Knuffel's room. It gives you 2 keys every 24 hours. Enter the room editing mode to see whether new keys are available, shown by the exclamation mark above the Gingerbread Man's head.
(After the event the Gingerbread Man won't be available in the Living Empire anymore, but everyone who bought it will get to keep it. Though it loses its key granting ability after the event and becomes a normal room item.)
