I'm sickened and freaked out.

A child down the street from us was raped by some guy. He got away from the police, but most of the neighborhood got together and caught him and the police where called. The mother walked in on him raping her daughter. What I'd like to know is where was the mother? And did she know the guy well enough to leave her daughter with him. Or did he just walk into the house? Other than when she's with my parents, my daughter is with me all the time. I'm outside with her and if I have to go in, even if it's just to go to the bathroom, my daughter goes right inside the house. It just freaks me out. I want a bullet proof 10 foot fence with barbed wire and lasers. But if I could afford that I could afford a bigger house.

So Rufus went to the vet today
He's getting at least three x-rays, possibly up to six
He's staying overnight
He's costing me about $500

From what I've been told (I was at work during his visit):
Nerve damage, like you annoy cat's paws and they jerk, he barely reacts on his right and not at all with his left
No noticable breaks, but possibly a fracture in his spine
Severe arthritis
Knee joints are absurdly loose, like they'd be extremely loose if he were old, but he's two. A young adult in cat terms
He might have feline leukemia, hoping not tho
So he's pretty much got a rarer than rare case going on

The poor cat. Though that is really expensive but you really want to do the best for him. Been in a similar situation with my cat but luckily the cost was less so it was kind of manageable for us back then.
Maybe you could set up a fundraising online? I'm sure it's not ideal but people might be willing to help out.
