Okay so there's this drink.
Start by picking over fresh cranberries until you have around three double-handsful of really good ones.
Heat up a simple sugar syrup until softball stage.
Pour in the fresh cranberries, and use a slotted spoon to keep them pressed below the surface, while you turn the heat down a little and let the sugar syrup seep in until the cranberries are heavy enough they don't push up against your spoon. Pull them out, let them drain a little.
Next step is juicing about half a peck of blueberries.
Strain it.
Pour in a bottle of strong ginger beer, stir.
Dump in the candied cranberries.
Can serve it either hot or cold.
That drink.
