Please read my post, I made it right before yours, explaining how that did not "prove" anything. :mcsad:

just noticed a typo; it says 'Ganguro Starts and Hearts'
shouldn't it be stars and hearts?

@Firn
._.' But now if you look at the overlay with the Hyades Eyes you even see it clearly that the tip of the inner corner of the closed Ganguro eye is towering over the red space .. I'm sorry .. but your argument is refuted.. kind of..

And you cannot! mesure it on a model!
Because it depends on the form of the eyes which angle and length to use.
And if they're closed it's not right to make them look like that..
I noticed on many of the newer eyes you made that they're lots of mistakes in it.. and I just want one.. just one time that you hear people like me out.. x-x

I just thought of something, guess I'll ask here
is it possible that in the future we'll have hair extensions in a regular shop drawn to cover the human ears? at the moment my hair choice is limited if I want to use animal ears and don't want to have 4 of them. easter bandana is the only item to cover the human ears, I guess. something like a wavy lock and a strait lock covering the ear would help a lot. maybe having them as shop items would make them less unique in sets, but they will be very usefull if they come in all colors. that's why I'm asking. they could belong to rikashitsu. or lunatic fringe as we have some wigs there

And on the other two examples as well as plenty of other eyes it is not. Point?

Is this not what I just wrote? That YOU cannot compare this one eye with other eyes, which might have a completely different shape? (because that is what you did) The model I am talking about is for "long and narrow" eyes. Obviously other eyes, like big and round eyes have to look differently and be positioned differently.

I am hearing you, but I still do not agree with you. I can only draw what looks right to me. You have to understand that, as an artist, I cannot draw things that look ugly or/and wrong to me, just because one, or a couple of other people, think it should look differently. Even if all of the community came to me and said they thought it looked better like you suggested, I still could not draw it like this, because in the end I am the artist and I have to like what I draw, or there is no point in me drawing it at all. We had similar discussions like this in the remake threads: If someone would commission and pay me to do art I would do it like they instructed me, even if I thought it looked ugly or wrong, but as long as I am doing this in my free time, there is no motivation for me to draw something that looks wrong or ugly to me.

I don't really have anything else to add to this discussion as different people have different perception of art, so this discussion cannot lead anywhere but into an argument without any result.

shouldn't it look right to both users AND to you?
and in the end WE(the users) are using the items, aren't we?

why ugly and wrong? you're not editing everything, it's just a small part of it and it's still YOUR ART....and btw you're not the only artist so hibari should be able to understand your point of view ._.

where's the point in this website if the opinion of the users is just...ignored..?
with this point of view you will just lose more and more users...

We don't want you to change your way of drawing or your whole art but especially as an artist you SHOULD be able to receive critics and use the advices of other artists as a hint...
Just blocking our advices is not the right way (and sometimes kind of rude), you should really think about this.

[that's just my opinion so don't feel insulted or anything ~ {many users should have similiar thoughts ~.~}]

Edit:
Why do you think that this discussion will end without any result?
I mean we could agree on something instead of just avoiding the topic..
there will be similar discussions from time to time and you cannot always just ignore the people ò.ó

oh and btw...instead of discussing you could just try it out and we will see how it looks like...that would be a proper solution (and if you disagree again then you could suggest sth else other than stopping the discussion)
