I was trying to go with something more colorful, but ended up just making a dark avi (most of my items seem to be on the more dark-horror styles lol)

I looked up plastic doll houses, and the cheapest one's I found (that weren't super small) were still around $60-$70
kinda wish I still had the one my brother and I played with our hamsters in when we were kids

I'm also learning a bit that Reji doesn't like being picked up, she seems to prefer climbing out onto my shoulder/head. but it makes it harder when I go to take them out to play with them, because she often just runs away from my hands when I go to pick up Meadow and Seulbi

the ones that looked more appropriate for the size of a rat with stairs going from one level to another were much more though. was kinda hoping I'd see one like the one I had as a kid for super cheap, since it would be pretty old. think I may ask my mom if she remembers the brand it was under, that would make it easier to find that one or one like it I think.

ah, I could see getting bored of drawing the same prompt everyday.
I still need to try to draw a mermaid again sometime, I did draw a character of mine who's a cyclops. it was interesting with coloring him in, since I gave him a green-tinted skin tone where I normally do natural skin tones, was kinda relieved that the green skin turned out looking pretty good
also, I may have an idea of what to request for a drawing request. but I likely won't upload pictures of these few characters until after the 23rd or 24th. they're characters I made in a game called Fairy Doll (sort of a character creation/dress up game), but I'm screenshotting my characters in all their different outfits atm due to the game announcing it's end on the 24th they stopped updating a few years ago, and just announced that they're ending it all... though I hear the Japanese servers are still updating, so I may see if I can transfer my characters there, just 'cause it would suck to lose my characters

sometimes she's easier to handle, and she's fine when out of their cage. also, Meadow stopped biting since Seulbi and Reji came home, she seems more relaxed and less tense.

we looked it up, that dollhouse, the one I had as a kid, costs close to $200 now

for the coloring? I use Prismacolor colored pencils. I love them. but with the colors for his skin, I used chartruse lightly mixed with the pencil called.... True Green? I think?

gotcha, I know you've been busy with school and any requests you got through your art shop. and it could be posible that I'll change my mind, especially if I can transfer to the Japanese server and keep my characters *fingers crossed*

but weirdly enough, Meadow became really bitey again today :\ I think it might've been because she was going into heat again, she tends to become very moody with that.. luckily with her bites today none really broke the skin, and the ones that did were more like light scratches.
also, my mom got me one of those cat toys with the stick and the toy at the end held by a string.. a cat wand? I let them look at it, and they seemed to really like it! I read that rats LOVE feathery things, I can't wait to let them play with it in the rat room
I did end up having to dissect it a bit though since it turned out it had catnip in it, I've heard catnip can be really bad for rats. so now it is catnip free

I tried doing more digital with a drawing pad I bought a few years ago, but couldn't get the hang of it. it was fun to play with, but everything I drew didn't look as good as drawing on paper. kinda hated how when you're drawing on a pad you can't see exactly where the pen is drawing until it touches and shows on the comp screen, made me feel uncoordinated

so the game ended, and looks like they have it so you can't data transfer to the japanese server with the english version. so I've got my four characters and their screenshots on my comp now.
Fairy Doll was a bit different than tinierme though too, like it was a "pick your bangs and hair separately, pick your face, eye color, skin color, personality type, and even chat with your Fairy". in the english version they let you have up to 4 characters, and it was made in a way that you sort of become attached to them. it was similar to Moe Can Change (made by the same company) or the other games made by them. (most of their games are "dating sims" but play more as character creator/dress up games with events and gacha)
oh! with tinierme, I found at one point a game called CocoPPaPlay, it has the same art style/avatars as tinierme. I had to find it again, I remember quitting because it crashes a lot and pretty much runs on real life money for most everything :\

oh no, rat's going into heat happens every.... 4-5 days? somewhere I read that they can go into heat every 3 days. Meadow's just super sensitive when that time comes around. doesn't like being touched. one of the biggest ways to tell (since she generally doesn't care for being touched) is that when she goes into heat, if you pick her up or pet her, she'll vibrate. (the first time I saw a rat vibrate from being touched was with Pippin, she'd just randomly have days where she started shaking/shivering when touched, I was so scared something was wrong.)

they really liked the cat toy! they chased it around for a bit, and tried to pull the feathers off of it

You just really need to practice c: If possible, you can even draw on paper, take a picture, and transfer it to the computer. Then, line, color, whatever from there! I've never done this before, but I know many IG artists do it.

I found about the coco app, but man, even at first glance I knew I was going to be frustrated with it. As much as I love their art... its a no from me.

if you want to look into the other games by the company that made Fairy Doll, they also have Moe Can Change and Dream Girlfriend as their highest/most popular games. (I think they're technically 'dating sims' but they're more or less character creator/dress up games)

omg, Seulbi is getting so big, she's bigger than Reji and almost Meadow's size
I bet Seulbi will be the biggest of them when they're fully grown, and I think Meadow will go back to being the smallest (because Reji is bigger than Meadow was at three months. Meadow didn't really noticeably grow until she was around 6-7 months)
