I have a hard time eating some healthy food because it literally makes me gag and almost throw up. Like broccoli. If I get too big of a piece of broccoli I can barely get it down. It's awful.
I need to get a veggie mincer or something. Then I can add veggies without dying or throwing up.

light, broccoli is kind of extreme in it's texture :D But there's lots of other veggies that might agree with you more? I like to just grate veggies when I want to hide them in the food, works well on carrots and the like. Then you don't get any noticeable veggie bites. I wouldn't try grating broccoli though, that would probably just result in broccoli all over the kitchen :D
Nan, I totally understand what you mean, I lived off pasta for years :D Although you can make pasta with veggie sauces (if you put in enough veggies, you can get away with eating less pasta, because the veggies fill you up) to make them more well-rounded, but then it does involve more work cutting them. I feel like that's often worth it though, because it also gives you an easy way to add variety to your dishes.
Another option is not changing the sauces but swapping all or part of the pasta itself with zucchini noodles (you need a spiral cutting thing for that though, or buy them already cut, which I've seen in a store recently but is probably expensive again). I got a cheap spiral cutting thing at some point, it's not fancy, all manual, basically looks like a giant pencil sharpener :D

These are all great points Chrizine! Too many people think there's no possible way to beat it but there is. Even if you have a medical condition that makes you overweight there are still ways to deal with that. No one has to be overweight.
@light I also really have a hard time with broccoli. Some kind of mixture between the taste and the texture makes me feel unwell. What I do is usually go for tenderstem broccoli, which is much nicer, or cut it up a lot smaller and then really cook it a lot instead of risking it being slightly undercooked. Or, normally, just eat other stuff haha XD But minced veggies is a great idea, and you can also puree them to make a pasta sauce or something like that which is full of good nutrients.

I also like making soups that way. With a tomato and white bean base.

Mh, sounds good as well. We only ever make one soup, with leek and potatoes, pureed as well. My bf is very against trying other soups ever since we made a weird one based on cucumbers that was inedible :D
But I agree, toxic, soups are a great food for winter :)
