I brought home Playdate Rapunzel today. HAIRMEGEDDON.

I brought home a Rainbow High doll the other day... I like how the body is shaped.

Yeah, their body shape is nice.

Rapunzel's hair's a disaster. SO many tangles.

oof. That's always a bummer.... I'm gonna be fighting my new-to-me Moana doll's hair (decided to use the one i had to make a specific Critical Role character)... I spent a little bit of time cleaning her up from all the marker on her.

This doll was brand new. I don't know what they were thinking, using that hair fibre on her. But she's braided. I can stop griping.

The spray in detangler that they make for human hair can work for dolls. I know some people say it will make doll hair greasy, but that didn't happen with Rapunzel, or the other doll I used it on years ago. The brand I used this time is Marc Anthony.

if you don't use a crapton of the product, then yeah, it won't make the hair greasy. I need to get to work on Moana's hair, but I don't think I have anything small enough to get the texture right once I've detangled it all.

I used the crapton. It's still not greasy. *feels it to make sure* Yup. Not greasy. Just scented.

Ohhhh. I've heard of people using pipe cleaners. Would that work?

I took another look, and I think I can get away with using plastic straws to get the curl/wave pattern right. I'd worry that pipe cleaners would get tangled in the hair 'cause of the bristles.

Right. Didn't think of that. *tiredly scratches my head*
