Aunt... you know better, you've known better for so long, but you aren't taking care of your health! Why??!? Now you're in for several surgeries in a row, and it's awful, and you are just...accepting it... and I love you and it hurts to see you like this. Are you really that depressed since your dad died? You guys fought all the time! Just... just take care of yourself a little bit better, please? It's so sad to see you just being passive in the face of everything. You are the one in the family with more energy than anyone else!
It's true you have a teddy-bear heart but you are FAMOUS for your fire and your passion!
Now you lie there in the hospital bed and quietly state that it's good to see me. You don't leap up and tease me and shout that it's been so long or complain madly in rhyme that I should have come earlier, you just lie there. It's... wrong. It's so wrong. It's just not right. Please recover. Please recover physically but also recover your energetic amazing self. I love you. Please get better.

Mom's told me a couple times "Dad's been asking about you". The last time she brought it up, I replied "Well, he can keep asking."

My grandmother died in August. She used to own an income tax preparation business, which she gave to me when she retired. The day she is dying, a woman who is NOT one of my clients called and demanded "ASAP service" because she wanted access to information on a tax return that she was not authorized to receive. My client in question she wanted access to had never given me a Form 2848 Power of Attorney, and this random woman never produced a Durable Power of Attorney, so by law, I'm not legally allowed to give this woman squat. She also had not called a single time since May, and back then she was wanting information on that same client, but again failed to provide proper documentation.
I explained to this woman that my grandmother was in the process of dying and I would not be able to help her until the following week due to funeral planning and family matters. We got disconnected and I tried to call her back, but she had called me from her workplace and I did not have time to go through a long series of automated menus to try to find her. She and her husband then waited until my grandmother's funeral to both start calling and texting me, demanding "ASAP service", claiming that I had been "unprofessional", and generally leaving hateful messages. I finally told them that they were not welcome at my firm.
So this ***** runs her prissy little *** to Google to leave a one-star review and sharing false information, such as:
- Claiming who the previous business owner was that I replaced. I took over for my grandmother. That woman she mentioned had actually stepped down in 1997.
- Claiming she had sent several emails when in fact she had not.
- Claiming I had hung up on her and refused to answer voicemails. I had already told her that my voicemail was having a lot of technical issues.
- Claiming she had been a client for several years. This woman is nowhere in any of the company's files, paper or digital, and I've kept all the records since this place opened in 1970.
I reported it to Google. Google told me today that they found nothing wrong with her review. She made an attempt with the Better Business Bureau too, but they blocked it.

Lady Justice is blind because she won't take the blindfold off, choosing instead to allow criminals to gag and silence their victims, listening only to those who are selected to speak, so she doesn't feel guilty over how negligent she is.

so the thrift shopping trip I was looking forward to this morning didn't happen. the person in charge forgot that I wanted to go, and thus didn't put me on the pick-up list.
and because RSD is a bitch, I'm kinda in a meltdown.

My cat passed away 4 days ago. I miss her. I can't get the images of her final moments out of my head. I tell myself at least I was with her till the end and made her as comfortable as I could, but I feel like a failure since I couldn't save her. I tried, even used my entire pay check, sacrificing groceries for a week and a half to take her to the vet and get her checked up and some medication, but it wasn't enough.

I get that not everyone is cut out for hospital work and all but for dear god, if you are gonna be a pharmacist, you better learn how to read drug strengths before trying to dispense them. Like I get that mistakes happen but the fact that the intern pulled the wrong strength in the safe and the resident didn't catch until after I compounded a bunch of stat doses (that were unnecessary because if she just took a look at the right dose we had some ready to go out). Also I get making mistakes every now and again by handing off NS to the IV room person when they need D5W. We have barcode scanning for a reason but when it is literally every IV that can't be compounded in NS is wrong, we have an issue. Please read the tickets, some of these meds are useless in NS and won't do their jobs. We had multiple people crashing, I need you to not act like a 1st year pharmacy student and act like the 4th year pharmacy student that you are.
Also the resident I had this weekend, awful and I'm disappointed he passed boards and is a pharmacist. He has no idea what he's doing, is an absolute jerk to all of the hospital techs who work there and they know more than him.

Real talk for a moment: Can we Go back to that month that Pokemon Go was released. Everyone was so happy and the only people down my throat were old men at work who complained about a cell phone app kids were playing. Can we have that? Please.
