hair ties, sleeves, pens, bracelets, anything really because i'm a pretty anxious person.
i wouldn't buy fidget toys knowing that anything can be one
but recently i've been doing so much better! online classes are stressful for many people, but not for me. i can learn all about javascript and stuff from my sofa with my soft blanket and my cookies, instead of being in a cold crowded classroom.
which means less anxiety, which means less fidgeting
the creativity when it comes to fidgeting is a lifesaver i must admit it, especially if you're in a public setting where people would look at you weird if you just whipped out a fidget cube in the middle of a conversation.
honestly i even fidget with my own fingers if i don't have anything else. but there are a few fidget toys i'd like to have because they just look so fun and they would gladly replace my poor pens and hoodie strings, i'm sure they've had enough of being accidentally thrown in the air or chewed on.
honestly i didn't notice any change in fidgeting after staring online classes, but i sure as hell am less on edge during my lectures.
@Moi, @AutobotDen welcome to my hangout!

I'm pretty sure my waifu is the best, but to each their own

That's fantastic I would like to do that but sadly there's no such thing near where I live. And the only cats roaming around are those of my downstairs neighbour which I'm pretty sure are already well fed!
