While I think this is a wonderful idea for those avid collectors, I have to agree with a lot of people that I for one am not willing to pay 12 FC for an Earth 1 no matter how much I covet her. The price is way too steep, but I suppose there will be those who are willing to pay so much.

Honestly I'm gonna agree with what has been said about the pricing for old knuffels seeming a bit too much.
While many users would be willing to spend an FC or two or maybe three for an old knuffel, going over that amount may back down them. And wouldn't it be more profitable for the site to sell dozens of 2 FCs pets than waiting until someone is desperate enough to pay 12 FCs for a single one of them?
Not sure if it's already too late for this kind of feedback, but I consider that raising the price every 5 gens may be wiser (5 last gens: 1FC, 5 next gens: 2FCs, oldest gens: 3FCs) and more productive in the end.

I was super excited when I saw this feature up. Which never in a blue moon would I have ever expected it to be done because of Firn's desire for knuffels not to become some sort of "item" to be sold.
But when I saw the FC price I was like .....YIKES!! (I can fill up my car's tank with that price). This is a great idea, very great idea in fact but realistically....who would spend 34 something dollars for a virtual pet ......maybe one or two people. But not in the numbers that you've hoped for. Plus, not only that, but it may also backfire and raise the prices of FC that you Firn have been working so hard to bring down for months now (or well inflation in general). They're finally around the 12-13k range...instead of the 16-20k range that they were before. (which would actually make this addition to the site a big mistake)
I really hope they don't raise up like that again.

If this was for us to have a chance at getting those really old knuffels, then I think it has defeated it's own purpose. If this was to help the site get more donations....then it has defeated that purpose as well since I think It would create more problems than it would solve.

Overall...thank you for adding such a great feature. But I don't think I would ever use this myself and would rather waste the 12FC on things like items. Heck with 12FC I would be set for at least 3months of MT and TTs.
I agree with Amura's suggestion of reconsidering what would be a smarter pricing if this is to help keep the site afloat because right now It's looking kind of bleak. I'm sorry if this is mostly negative, but it is the truth.

We'll see what we will see...I guess time would tell whether or not this will work at all. Or whether we we're right or wrong.
don't get me wrong...I hope i'm wrong......but it seems by the general sensus that I might be right.

this is a great idea, but like a lot of people have mentioned, it might be a bit too steep in pricing, especially for the old ones. i donate regularly... but the knuffels i really want are 10 or higher... and i don't think i would actually donate $25+ more to aim for those (on top of what i'm already donating...).

i'm pretty sure the site's goal for this is to give incentive for normal contributors to donate more and people who don't usually donate to start donating a little. Considering the main targets would be older gen knuffels, so all the ones we want are high in price. As a normal contributor, I don't see why I would increase my spending to try to get that. At most, I will stop selling my :fc:s (or in my case giving it out for feeds), and save for the knuffels instead. For people who don't care for knuffels can just drive up the price of :fc:s cuz they can.

for people who can and don't used to donate, they might donate a little bit to get the monthly stuff (as the knuffels may be a bit out of reach) because they can't afford buying the :fc:s using anymore. However, there may also be other people who used to donate a little, but now might quit. I'm sure there are people who can donate whatever they can, and then for the rest of the stuff they want, they may rely on :fc:s in the market... but if they can't afford the prices, then it's just demoralizing even tho they already support as much as they can.

for the rest of people who can't really donate for various reasons will basically just suffer in this situation.

this is just my reasoning behind why i'm not sure if the current pricing is a good strategy. i could be wrong.

i do understand that the older knuffels shouldn't be too cheap either because they are old... but 1 per level seems a bit too much. i think maybe 1 per 2 or 3 levels might work better for incentive for people to donate. it's not completely cheap, but a more realistic goal for people.

You would have better luck at donations if you kept the cost down on them. Maybe only make the very first gen 5fcs.

Just saying a lot of people aren't even old enough to donate and I'm 23 and don't have a credit card as im sure a lot of people dont. The price for fcs in the market is insanely high for how long it takes to earn money on here.
I just think it would make this much more reasonable.

That makes the gen 1 darkness knuffel 5 FCs which is still pretty high at $12.50
but it seems way more reasonable then $37.50
and I could see someone actually paying for that

I'm just saying with a reasonable system like the one I made the site would have a much better chance at receiving donations at all times, quite often, instead of just once in awhile when someone could afford it.

I doubt someone would spend over $30 on a knuffel even once a month.
When if you lowered the price to 5fcs you would be getting donations a lot more often. Most likely daily. Which would add up fast and in the end the site would be making a lot more then they would if they sold them for 10fcs.

I 100% understand that you want the older knuffels to be harder to get but I don't really understand a point to it. If you are going to release them again at least have a fair system so everyone can have a chance to get them. It would take me about 7/8months to get 12fcs and I would have to be on everyday.

If you want to make knuffels that people can't ever readopt unless they're dropped then make a once a year special release knuffel or something similar.

I really like the idea though. But I along with some others will not ever be able to afford it.

It's sad but I completely understand not changing it.

The offer is great of course ... just sad to see another *free to play* browser site now offering advantages to members willing to pay the price ...
For the future it looks like a possibility: Whenever the Battle one or any other upcoming feature will be activated, all the *normal* users will lose anyways ... just same procedure as in so many other online browser games ... i hope not, but it looks like somehow... nothing against the site owners of course ... site has to be financed, just that's kinda unfair to all the hunters and collectors
...it's been always funny and exciting to refresh KT, but now i know the price and that could cause kinda boredom when you have collected all levels per cash... just my 50c of course

PS: If you offer them now for FC, you should also make them free to trade in the market.

Now, do you really think anyone is willing to give away an older baby for free anymore ??? ... if i can buy a Level 1 for 12 why not sell it for 10 ?!

KT will die out with only the actual ones and that's why i said it with the trade option.
