You need a break every once in awhile. So no worries. Don't get me wrong, I am a little bummed out. But you guys getting what you can to improve your lives is more important. Or fixing issues on the website, that's also important. It'll just make the next Halloween event even more special.

He has a diploma in Information technology and a master degree in Philosophy and Japanese Science, so I am not sure how that fits in.
He always said he wanted to do a doctor's degree in Philosophy, but he works with Cognitive science in his job, so apaprently that's where he got the idea from.

I googled cognitive science and read the brief description google gave me, that sounds pretty interesting.
the study of thought, learning, and mental organization, which draws on aspects of psychology, linguistics, philosophy, and computer modelling.
Also, sorry to hear the event isnt happening but yay for site things happening anyway. I totally understand that well site needs its updates and sometimes well need a break from the norm and I realise you're both so busy anyway. /reallyunderstands

That is really interesting. I always wanted to go back and do my masters then my doctorate but I think it will have to wait until we've had kids and they've grown up now lol. J's dad holds a doctorate and I always liked the idea of being called Dr haha.

Actually the congitive science sounds very interesting! :mcshock: I mean, for me it would be good for a one-time reading material and just getting whatever information my slow brain would understand XD So like philosophy (I had to have 2 attempts at European philo and super easy questions at the 2nd one to pass, and then I needed 3 attempts at Indian philosophy and super easy questions to pass that one :mcargh: but I do think pilosophy is quite interesting ironically). Awesome for reading for yourself, but I wouldn't be able to actually learn things about it, understand it and study it properly x.x *pays respects to ambitious starkad*

I just got my Bachelor's degree yesterday and I feel like burning down my uni XD

No event is fine. Starkad should do the things he finds necessary to provide for you and your furry family. His masters degree seems pretty random xD He went from IT to philosophy? Is cognitive science the same as psychology?

I am the same as mem. I did a philosophy course once and that ended tragically. Mechanical engineering and fluids related courses, absolutely fine, I do very well, philosophy, I exploded and got the lowest mark I have ever received EVER. It was so difficult to understand anything at all. *sigh* Every time someone says "I'm an english/philosophy major," I think they're magicians. My friend explained his essay for a philosophy course once and I didn't understand so he got REALLY mad at me as he thought I wasn't trying. No, I just suck.

Congrats mem ovo don't get yourself arrested so soon for arson ~

Thank you, I feel free, although I think it still didn't sink in yet QwQ Maybe when I get my diplomma on Tuesday :mcheh: I should really think on that fire before I set it there, the professors were really encouraging me to continue my studies and get a Master's because "they see great potential and they need pen skills like mine" XD But I don't think I'm made for this, I rather burn them all ;>.> (#GoT #theMadKing #seewhatIdid #badpun) Of course I won't, but one can dream, right? XD
I may get arrested for many other things tho, the police at my workplace yesterday, then interrogation this morning for a different case, things are happening, so there's always a chance XD JK, I'm not doing anything illegal here, so they can't put me in jail or anything :mcgrin:

ooh, cognitive science! my husband's friend is studying that too. i talked with him about it a bit, it's very abstract for me. but kind of fascinating too :). all the luck and best wishes to Starkad! so he can make Firn proud :mcwink:
