I’m pretty sure I was told that it was hereditary but I could be wrong lol.
Yeah I hear that curly is so hard to take care of, it frizzes, it’s hard to brush, it does whatever it wants, etc. after hearing all these stories, I was glad that I had straight hair lol. Even if it gets curled, after one night it’s flat again. lol I remember I got a free makeover once and they curled my hair and like put styling products in. Went to sleep like that. Next morning? Curls were gone. Lol
They say that gold ring heterochromia ISN'T hereditary, but my mom still passed on hers. lol
Yeah, I can't keep curls either, even though my hair used to wave a bit when damp. I can't keep colour either. Good thing I like my colour. One thing I'm really grateful to find out with this last bout of actually having hair is that the textures changed. No more bedhead! Soooo grateful, because it used to stay around so tenaciously.
Which reminds me. I got a cute pixie cut the other day, and got to cuddle a kitty through the whole haircut. Which was great til he farted.

My hair has a natural wave to it, and its thick so it also frizzes and tangles soooo easily. I'd HATE to have curly hair because it'd make that 10x worse.
I added the red to my hair. Shoulda left the top part alone =/ instead of just red tips, I have a few streaks too xD
My mom was salt and pepper'd gray.
Yeah, mine's very thick and also fine. So I used to get tangles when I tried to grow it long.
For some reason I can't get your picture to work.
All grizzly, huh?
