Oooooooh, yeah ok, that definitely complicates things! Even with a headset so that he won’t hear the others, he’ll still hear you. :/

And I see! It’s good you at least get to work here and there, and hopefully you guys figure something out~

That's quite an story, Kuuki!
Really one worth telling your grandkids.
Even if you did not plan to leave for that long, it still means you decided to pack all your things and leave all behind, which definetely classifies as an adventure.

May I ask one personal question?
Is your husband Japanese or also an inmigrant?
I guess that if he has family there it's less likely that he is looking forward to move to another country, if that's ever what you want?

Well it was. I made a passport especially to come here, had never gone alone that far away either.

Husband is indeed Japanese. And more than family it's work that's stopping him for going on an adventure on his own (not that he doesn't but it's travelling adventures). There's no way he'll find anything close to what he does at his salary anywhere else, and then there's the language issue. But we're thinking on moving to a more remote tropical island when he retires and spend a few months here and there with my family.

Family which I am starting to miss only now after 3 years without seeing them XD

Thank you :D

I really hope you guys retire on a tropical island lmao, and that you get to go on a few adventures before that as well!

But still, you had never traveled before deciding to pack everything up and make a run for it??? Really crazy for sure, lmao

Actually ... we already bought the apartment on the capital city of said tropical island(s) XD
Husband had been day-dreaming while looking at listings, found that apartment perfect for two people, cheap and incredibly well located but old, needs everything renovated and the previous owner died in it, by some kind of incredible string of luck it didn't sell until we could see it a few months later, saw it and made an offer on that day and now it's ours.

And nope, hadn't travelled much before. I did say I was crazy before XD
There was a bit of desperation thrown in there too I guess.

Holy hell, that is a string of coincidences provided by a higher power or something. xDDD
Congrats, btw!! Do you have any plans on going there to start on renovations any time soon, or is that a very future plan?

And yeah, it feels very desperate, but I gotta say it's damn impressive anyways. :mccool:

Yeah, when it comes to that kind of coincidences you just have to believe it and take the plunge XD

Talks with the contractors are on going. Husband went to show them the apartment and now we're talking plans and stuff.
We're planning on using the apartment for vacations since we're going regularly already and it'll save on hotel costs until the time husband retires so we hope it'll be done by next year.

I rarely post but I pop in every now and then to mess with my avatar and see what's new.
I'm very shy so I have a hard time just starting a convo :mcheh:

I'm not very good at starting convos either, lol, which is why I now stick to places I've gotten used to (which required courage [and a desperate need for donuts] to join in the first place, lmao).

And welcome, GrimDaeva, if you're still here! xDDD
