ha ha, I'll take sore muscles over a tired brain. >.<

I've never tried using exercise to tire myself out before, though, so who knows, maybe I will have to take that back.

I don't know what your evening routine is, but it helps to avoid looking at a lot of screens/media before you go to bed. No more internet, tv etc for like half an hour before bed should let your brain slowly relax etc before you're going to bed ;o

Oooh, yes! We had a whole conversation about this a while ago in the reading thread and someone recommended downloading flux. It makes your screen a warmer tone(because it's the blue light that keeps you up), I've been using it ever since, I find it a lot easier on the eyes and I think its good for if you feel like you can't avoid screens before bed

Yup! Less blue and also less brightness definitely helps :)

What is this 'schedule' you speak of? lol. I have no schedule at all.

And what is usually keeping me from rest is my chronic pain. It's so much worse when I'm on my period so I just gotta wait for it to blow over. Sometimes it lingers for a month. So far it's been about 2 weeks. yaaay.

For the friendship writing stuff, well, I'm running into a slight bit of....
it's just that friendship can mean really different things to different people.

There's the folk who love their friends because their friends are the ones who will tell them they look like crap. Then there are the folk who love their friends because their friends are the ones who will staunchly tell them they look amazing even when they look like crap.

There are the folk who love their friends because finally, here are people they can just sit and be silent with, without having to talk. Then there are the folk who love their friends because they can talk about anything with them, easily, and they are never stuck trying to find words/in silence.

There are the people who love their friends because their friends are the ones who will support them without question.
There are the people who love their friends because their friends will keep asking them questions until they find out why support is needed.


Can you tell me a little bit about SPECIFICALLY these two friends of yours, why their friendship appeals to you/what aspect of it is valuable to you?

It would be a bit weird to talk about the special friend who never pokes fun at you, if your friendship is the type that pokes fun at you until you can laugh about it.

Akili: they're twins but my friendship with them is very different :P

Alex is far more extravert so we almost never have any silences, I can always trust her to hold up a conversation :')
She's very social and spending time with her makes me feel like I'm a different bubble where everything is fun and good and there aren't enough hours in a day to enjoy everything it has to offer. She's very much the fun-friend. Want to spend some time with someone and just not think about bad things for a little while? I'll call up Alex, cause I know she'll help me block everything but the two of us out for a bit. She's a hakuna matata person, adventurous and impulse, which is sometimes needed to balance out a more introverted/responsibility focussed friend like myself.

Sarah is like the calm after the storm that is Alex c':
We can have those deep conversations, lift each other up but also bring the other down for their own good when a reality check or advice is needed whether its wanted or not. I've been through the most with Sarah, which gives a bit deeper bond than with Alex.

I have the same things with my sister, she is both family and best friend.
And she is such an awesome aunt for my little girl.

Those two together shatter all my sorrows into tiny pieces.

Its always nice to have someone who catches you when life lets you fall!
