Well frankly they're made to deal with Adobe programs. PC's aren't. This doesn't mean those programs don't work on a PC, but Adobe programs can get really heavy. Take Photoshop CS5 for example. It saves so much information in one pixel that a PC drive eventually has to give up. Downloading the CS5 Master Collection made the video card of my parent's PC crash. That's why I decided to get a MacBook. xD
It can't do 3D so it's not fit for gaming. But that's what saves the room for the memory needed to use Photoshop properly. And Apple got into a fight with Adobe about Flash so they kicked it out. It runs superbad on a Mac. That sucks hard, really.
There's also the Mac screens which are just made to be as true to a color as possible. They're mostly set on the same system, while PC screens are just... random, so to speak. With a Mac there's the least chance on a big surprise when you get your lovely pink address cards delivered. I mean, you wanted them pink, right? Not red. ;D
All graphic work just runs fluently on a Mac. I mean, it's not impossible to do on a PC, but it's quicker and easier on a Mac.
And personally I love the OS itself. Having to do something on a PC now frustrates me really quickly even though I've worked with those computers since we got our first one when I was six. :p
I just don't accept competition! I'm the master complainer around here x'D
YES YOU SHOULD.
GET YOUR ASS MOVING YOU LAZY BUM.
You're thinking the wrong way, Ruby. Our 1k is more expensive than your 1k. Yes, you pay more in numbers, but it's just as expensive for us. Take a €1000,- computer for example. You may pay $1400 dollar for that. But it's the same with your salary. I don't know the exact rate at the moment but to keep it simple, it's also that when you earn $1400 a mont, we still earn €1000,-. You get the idea? It doesn't really matter. Expensive is expensive. ^_^;;
My Mac was 1k, with 9% student discount it was €910. But I've just got the cheapest MacBook except for the MacBook Air I believe. But the actual Macs vary from €1600,- to €2200,- here if I'm not mistaken.
It's still not like Macs don't catch viruses, but indeed, less than PC's.
But you know it's a whole new system you need to learn to work with, right?
