I really enjoyed the event last year. And I know that there is a lot of hard work that goes in to events in general. But I am disappointed that there is not an option to buy water and fertilizer. I would even prefer very expensive water and fertilizer as to having to post at least 84 times. I do not have that kind of time.

While I always appreciate feedback regarding events, "not having time" to take part in an event is not something I will take into consideration when creating new events. Events take time and require participation, it's the nature of them and this one is not even really time consuming:
Make 60 posts (not sure where your 84 is coming from) within a month, that's about 2 posts a day, takes about 3 minutes a day. Considering you get water and fertilizer at random, you might have to post a bit more, but even if you double the number, it takes about 6 minutes a day.
