WOW Li li that is such an impressive tip!
I'm going to bring a notebook with me the next time I go to a restaurant alone and try that~ It would look so much cooler than scrolling on my phone LOL

@Pastel I used to get Dominos a lot when I lived on campus in uni, because back then that was the most convenient delivery option and the ONLY option late at night. Back then the desperation made their pizza and wings taste good. But then after moving out of campus and trying the same Dominos again, I realized it was very very bad... And then I tried it a few more times in different locations just to make sure, and it is still quite bad :mcdead:

I usually don't like those pizzas from places sucha as Dominos or Pizza Hut. They are all quite bad imho.
I mean, they are cheap so everybody ate their fair share when nothing better was affordable, but right now I'm at an stage in my life in which I'd rather bake it myself.
We ordered one the other day from this new place, but it was just as low quality...

If you bring a notebook to a restaurant you will look like a reviewer!
Yeah, I guess the I-am-not-from-here vibe gives you out, but still xD

I definitely find home cooked pizza better tbh; plus it's so EXPENSIVE.
I don't eat pizza often so this was a treat for me ahaha, it definitely filled a craving for a couple of months at least that's for sure.

I'll write down my lunch as I'm already here; I had chow-mein flavoured noodles, with sweetcorn, onion and a half-boiled egg~

Not gonna be very hungry for dinner so I've got no idea what to have later ahaha

I think the only reliably good restaurant pizza are the authentic Italian ones? Like you know instead of the thick oily crusts and piled with cheese, it's thin crust, focused on sauce, and baked in those wood-fire ovens. *___*

I often make pizza at home too, but the crust is so hard to get right >__< does anyone have good recipes for pizza crust?

The problem with getting a good crust is that home ovens do not reach a very high temperature.
That's why so many people suggest using a oven stone, which you can pre-heat and make sure the dough gets that high temperature.
I actually have an steel sheet, which is even better than a stone but more expensive (it was a gift) and the pizzas were awesome.

And I say were because I no longer use it for pizzas - only for bread.
Why, if it's so great?
Well, because now we are a family of three, and one of the members of this family can eat whole pizzas (yep, plural), so baking only one pizza at a time is not enough anymore :mclaugh:

Ahhh that makes a lot of sense actually.

I don't have these tools, what I've done was trying to work around the crust issue by doing weird experiments with pizza. So far the most successful had been making pizza buns, where I use the same folding method as with making steamed buns to wrap the pizza toppings in a thin layer of dough then baking it. The new form makes the crust quality itself not as important AND it's easy to pick up and eat (just gotta be careful to not burn your tongue on the first bite!)

Eating pizzas plural in one sitting is extremely impressive 0_0
What's the size of those pizzas? Like small personal sized or medium/large?

Oven sized!
That's why I no longer use the steel sheet for pizzas, I'd rather use two regular oven sheets (full to the rims) and I can bake them both at the same time.
Usually our son eats 1/4 of a pizza and I eat about 1/2, and the pizza-eating monster eats the rest.

But once my dear husband challenged me that he could eat ANY amount I baked. So I baked four - and yeah, he ate 3+ large pizzas xD

I think you have just invented empanada xD

3+!
That is incredibly impressive. I think I've only seen competitive eaters on Youtube do that 0.0

Also yeah the idea is pretty much like empanadas or calzones, but the shape.... Well... Let's just say, despite tasting good, my pizza buns did not look good /D;;;
Here is the photo I took

Yeah, he's an awesome eater.
He does not eat much on a regular basis, but if you challenge him he would eat a whole cow including the horns xD

They are pizza volcanoes!!!

Pizza volcano is definitely a cooler and better description than what my friends said when they first saw :mcargh: Thank you LOL

~*~
Today for dinner I made my absolute favourite simple comfort dish: Tomato and egg noodles~

It is exactly what it sounds like.
Sautee fresh tomatoes until it's almost a paste, add water and salt to taste. Then add in noodles, once the noodles are done pour in whisked eggs and it's done!
