Hardcover books I prefer, they last long, they have a resell value, and they also look better on a bookshelf.

I don't really care whether is hardcover or softcover. I like to have my book in hardcover, but they are much more expensive and tend to get heavy, so when I buy a new book, it's usually softcover. The main thing I don't like about softcover is that I can't leave it open on the table without losing the page I was reading.

If you're talking to me, and I don't reply, it's likely because there's no ping system when you quote someone on this site

I'll buy the paperback version cos it's cheaper.
But if I borrow books from the library, I'll go for the hardcover as they feel more solid...

I prefer softcover because they're cheaper I'm a college student with a not so great job so money is tight. They take up less space and are easier to travel with. Also I have really small hands so the softcovers are just perfect for me.

I slightly prefer soft-cover books. They're usually smaller, less pricey, and flexible, and that's about all the difference is for me. Hey, a book is a book.

I prefer paperback books because they're easier to carry around and cheaper than the hardcover books. But I like hardcover books too because they look nice on my bookshelf.

I "like" hard cover, it's fancier. but it's way too expensive. usually the hard cover costs 4 times as much as the soft cover over here.

mostly I go soft cover unless it's one of my fav. authors, then I might spurge and get the hardcover.

I have to totally follow up Hamda!

It's way too expensive to buy a hard cover book... especially when I don't know the book/author at all.

I prefer soft cover if I am just reading a book in passing. I like hardcover if I love a book enough to keep a copy on a shelf.
