My bad, I didn't see the other reply. X_x; (And I had a really, really bad day, so I was super spacey when I was posting earlier.)

I loved Evanescence when I was younger and I tend to be pretty picky about covers in general, but I rather liked Dan Vasc's cover of "Going Under": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T12QE8w5Nhc

My favourite Chinese classical song is Long De Chuan Ren. It was in the book that came with the piano my mother bought when I was a kid, and I could play most of the right hand bits. Never did get the coordination for two hands.

that's fine lol, i was wondering since i've personally never really listened to covers of Evanescence.
i went looking for the Evanescence ft japanese band vid again. just so that i could remember the name of the band lol. It was Wagakki Band. they play alot of tradtional instruments and they did a ft with Evanescence. i remember thinking "wow thats so cool lol"
tbh, i wouldn't have even known about Evanescence if i didn't also have a punky goth artist friend back in high school. xD she was the one who introduced them to me.

dunno if ive heard of that chinese song. *listens* AH, def heard of this one lol. pretty good oldie lol. XD altho i don't understand it pftha. I'm cantonese so mandarin is like.....mostly gibberish to me. Starwish is pretty good. also, teresa teng's got one of the most classic songs and even tho i can't sing it, i love it. The Moon Represents my Heart

Definitely going to have to add Wagakki and those others to my lists. I enjoy traditional instruments. And then the finger dexterity some people have to replicate modern songs on traditional instruments, like Moyun playing ACDC's "Thunderstruck" on a guzheng.

yeah Wagakki uses a mix of traditional and modern instruments and they can be a bit rock pop.

That's harder, to my mind. That's an ongoing, you have to live with it forever thing, instead of one single moment that's the exception instead of the rule.
