I find a lot of times in the past to be really alluring, especially the 1600-1800s and also the 1960s. But I also don't know if I'd want to actually live there and give up modern medicine and plumbing.... The future doesn't really appeal to me as much. But I'd also hope that medical stuff would be better, and that's pretty tempting...

If you could pick any year or time period to live in, when would you want to live?

I've considered this before, and I wouldn't pick a time from the past.
Everything was worse then.
But I do love the Victorian Era and the 70s.

I'd like go to the future sometime.
And hope no world war or zombie apocalypse or robots have taken over xD

A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

I always think I would like to live in Jane Austen's time. The clothes, the fact that you could basically sew and play piano and do nothing else all day while your husband worked, the way that women were just being allowed to be authors so I could still write...

But then I think about the other side of things, like the hygiene, the medical field and how you couldn't even be expected to get through childbirth, the lack of rights for women, and I have to say I'd rather live now XD

Basically I just need a rich husband I think. Too bad I've already fallen for someone who isn't rich XD

If I could be sure to be one of the noble and rich..maybe I would try the old past...
anyway even if the future could be really appealing..I'm not sure what we're going on...
So..if I have to choose.. best time to live is probably 1950-1970....there was a period where all seemed possible to be..a lot of things happened it that period

This is a pretty good point, I wouldn't want to be poor or oppressed in any time at all XD

Yeah, I think being rich would definitely swing the vote for me xD I'm a fan of Austen also!
But ultimately, I love everything the internet has done for me way too much to ever part from it. :qd:

I want to go up a week do I have Skyrim
Or maybe to the end of the month for my Pocky and chocolate

But more seriously, chances are with anything in the past, I'd be dead at this age. Or extremely weak
And the future, right now, looks very dystopian

So...

Very true. If all else fails I would probably enjoy living amongst dinosaurs for a bit until they inevitably ate me XD

Er... as much as some aspects of the past are pretty amazing like the art, architecture, and furniture (I love the furniture so much from the 1800s. I actually have a couch from that time period.) depending on the time period I'd be burned at the stake because of my orientation. Also probably for some of of my ideas. I also have a naturally weakened immune system so there is also the possibility that I wouldn't even survive to be burned at the stake, that I'd die from some disease. I'm content with now and thoughts and dreams of the future. If the future turns out okay that is...
