I honestly need to start reading the list of books I have stored on my kindle, I have been trying to locate a few Fear Street books I would love to read but locating any of them in the UK within Charity Shops is literally impossible.

Oh dear, I'm sorry! You were just talking about trying to winnow down your list, too!

Sanssouci if you try any of those and give me feedback I can better tailor the next set of recommendations.

(I really LIKE talking books.... you can maybe tell....)

Chloe are you reading old favorites instead of new books or are you not really having time to read at all? (If you're reading old favorites I'd love to hear what they are.) I'm not familiar with Fear Street. Are they true crimes or horror books or thrillers or what?

Thank you, Ghost.

I have been reading on and off. I had gotten a few of 3 in 1 books offline and had borrowed some Disc Worlds from the local library but just been busy with Uni that I only got to read one of the books from start to end.

Fear Street are teen horrors by R.L. Stine. I use to own tons of them but the ones I am wanting to read are ones I never personally owned. Just most of the copies I can find are located in the US and it costs a mint to get them all shipped overseas. Me and my mum one day added all the books I wanted and it's close to 100 pounds to get them here.

that's a lot :mcomg:
but if you split it into 7-10 batches, that'd probably still be cheaper than buying them, right?

I feel that with details being too convenient. At least the author could have written that he was on his way somewhere special and that's why he was wearing his best clothes and carrying money. And it would have made more sense to sell the coins as if they were discovered in mint condition, but not the clothes.

Ok, Akili, thanks! :D

I was thinking the same thing, jacob, he should have at least been dressed in his best for a festival or something. Rather than coming right out and saying his clothes magically changed too for some reason. Ugh.

Another thing that bugged me was that the lady is 26. And the guy made a few comments about her being young/being a girl. But he's from over 400 years ago. At 26 and unmarried, wouldn't he have seen her as a spinster?

26 and unmarried, yep, she would have been considered an old mother or an old maid....
