It was a Thanksgiving dinner with friends. I was exhausted yesterday for some reason though; just completely zoned out after I ate.

I don't recommend the BBQ in Sydney either. Just go for the non-bbq options, they're delicious :3 I love how almost every dish has red pepper paste, flakes or sugar syrup. It's actually quite easy to make korean dishes at home especially if you have a korean grocery store near you!

Oh! Museums I do recommend. The Art Gallery NSW is wonderful to visit, they have free exhibitions but you can also buy tickets to the limited ones. You'll have to check what's on during the days you're going. Since you're in the area, walk through the royal botanical gardens. You can either go right through to see the old trees and what not or around the coast where you can sit on some rocks and watch the water, take some pictures. Walking through it will lead you to the opera house. You can then walk to the other side of the harbour to visit the museum of contemporary art usually there's a giant cruise boat right in front of the big building. I personally don't enjoy the contemporary art but there are some interesting modern exhibitions. You can then visit all the stalls in 'the rocks' and have food around there and if you go further you can walk right under the harbour bridge and sit in the park with the cannons looking out onto the bridge and opera house.

That's the route I would often take if I want to chill in that area. It's a lot of walking though but you get a lot of site seeing done.

I'll take note of that. It might take a while for me to convince my mom to go to galleries and gardens but food stalls are definitely right up her alley. She likes going to other countries just to eat their food because of how it tastes different from ours. She'd definitely love taking pictures too (to my chagrin because I always end up being the photographer XD)

Hmm, in terms of food "The Grounds of Alexandria" in Alexandria (not in the CBD) is popular. It's rather hipster and a little expensive but it's an interesting place to visit. Barangaroo has several cafes that are really cute and a nice water view. High tea in the QVB (it's in a ball room) is gorgeous. Newtown is also a nice little suburb for food. Lots of cafes.
