I started learning when I was 16, we have a system here where we can learn to drive with our parents. It was really helpful.

The thing I hate the worst is that after all that BS, he had the gall to ask me if I "wanted to pay him a tip for how nicely he taught me." Dear God.

I took a course as fast as I could, at the age of 18. At that time I didn't have big problems with driving. My instructor was ok, but he was teaching me how to pass an exam, not how to drive properly. But, well, that's understandable.

After obtaining a licence I started driving with my father. He teached me a lot and it was a big help. Sadly, most of my driving skills and knowledge got lost, because I haven't been driving for many, many years. It's not enough if you drive literally once a year. It's so bad I nearly caused an accident last time I was driving. So I will have to retake few driving lessons, preferably during summer holidays, since the city I live in will be empty at this time. The less cars are on the road, the easier it is to drive, after all.

You get used to it. Honestly, that's it. It'll become muscle memory over time.
Although.. if you're driving standard, that is significantly more difficult to master. Good on you for starting with it, though.
Having been babied by automatic I have a lot of difficulty with standard. It's harder to rewrite what you've learned than to learn for the first time.

It'll pay off. Freedom to go where you want is a very desirous goal, lols. You can do it. It seems scary but think about how many horribly stupid people drive. If they can do it, then so can you. That's what I told myself when I started.

In my country parents are not allowed to teach their children, you have to take official classes. Anyway, driving came quite easily to me. Didn't care much about the clutch as far as I can remember xD
I started driving a scooter when I was 16, finally got my much beloved car license at 23 (IT'S SO EXPENSIVE), got my bus license this year (IT'S EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE) and hopefully I'll have my motorcycle license by the end of the year. Then I just need to get my lorry license and I'll have every license you can get around here. Gotta catch 'em all, right?

As you may have noticed, driving is one of the most important things in my life, and it just comes quite easily to me, so it may not be really fair of me to say "driving is hella easy". For every driver it's the same rule though: the more you do it, the better you'll be :3
