I had a self-heating instant hotpot today~!
They're these super neat contraptions that, like the name says, boils a pot of noodles and veggies on its own using a heating packet that's activated with only water!
Also it's delicious. Rice noodles with a variety of veggies (lotus root, potatoes, bamboo shoots, kelp...) in a tomato broth *___*

Had some eggs and a chocolate milk for breakfast.
Today we are going to my in-laws for a barbecue

We planned going to the beach before, but it's still overcast (it's sea clouds, they'll leave away during the morning) so I'm not sure whether we'll change plans ....

What kind of things do you guys cook in your barbeques?
A staple for us is lamb skewers!

Today we did steaks and veggies.
We often do ribs, marinated pork ribs, that's quite a common dish here.
But pretty much anything? Sometimes we do fish - we have in a sea port after all!

Oh I love barbeque. Especially brisket. If I go somewhere with that on the menu I am 99% sure that's what I'm having.

Yesterday I ate like poo, probably because the hunger from not really eating much Saturday caught up to me. I went shopping, then swimming, then to my brothers for game night. Didn't really think about food and eating all too much.

Breakfast: I had an onion bagel with cream cheese.
Lunch: I had off brand bagel bites I bought at Aldi when I went grocery shopping there Saturday. Then cheese and crackers.
Supper: I made honey sesame chicken over rice with corn.
And for dessert, my sister wanted sundaes, except she only got ice cream and chocolate sauce...

Today we had seafood noodles for brunch, and steak and tomatoes for dinner /o/

I swear my mom is godly at making steak. She gets that perfect medium everytime, just a bit on the medium rare side to be tender but not so much it's oozing red

Yesterday I had tea with milk, and toasted bread with butter, for breakfast.
A mint tea midmorning.
For lunch we had sirloin with creamy pepper sauce.
And for dinner rice with zucchini and carrot.

Mint tea. I wonder if that taste better than the peppermint tea I got in a tea sampler set I got myself for Christmas last year.

Yesterday
Breakfast: A banana I shared with my dogs since one of them goes nuts for her love of bananas.
Lunch: honey sesame chicken over rice, strawberries and blueberries, and a granola bar eventually.
Supper: Pizza which wasn't that good. It was supposed to have a pretzel crust, but it was just regular crust.
Snack: I had some cheese and crackers before bed, but there was a lot of drama (nephew) between supper and snack, so I ended up eating it sooner than planned and went to bed super early because I was done with it.

There are so many different kinds of mint, that it's hard to say.
The one commonly used here for mint tea is this, apparently it has several different names in English.

Very true. I don't know what kind of mint something is. I never really noticed a difference unless it's "mint" "spearmint" or "peppermint"
