IT'S NEVER ON PURPOSE I SWEAR!
Seriously. I just. Don't initiate conversations much unless I absolutely have to spazz about something. I always feel like I'm bothering people if I do. I'm so weird.
All I remember is that it happened the week before we were supposed to be on vacation.

Sedgwick (the Workman's Comp company) called a little while ago and "interviewed" him about the case, but that's it. Still haven't approved his appointment to go to the orthopedic and see if it's actually broken or not.

Of course they haven't. Did you still go to the orthopedic? Or do you have to get approved for it? I know they have to follow their own rules, but dang do they like to take their time doing it.

Since it's a workman's compensation case, the orthopedic office won't set up an appointment without approval first. Even though he is literally still going to the same orthopedic for his OTHER workman's compensation injury that he'll be going to for this one. The exact. Same. One.

Well, they have to follow rules. But that is so stupid and so shitty. So he's just sitting there with a splint on not sure if his elbow is broken or not?

Yeah, unfortunately. We called the guy assigned to his case yesterday. He didn't answer, so we left a message. Still nothing, though.

Thanks, Dream.
As an update, they finally approved his case yesterday. However, in the long ass time they took to approve it, the orthopedic office has booked all appointments -- the soonest one is the 17th! So we're supposed to call back every day to see if there have been any cancellations.
And then today, my store manager approached me.
TB: Can I ask you a question?
Me: Sure.
TB: Do you have to be at every one of his appointments?
Me: No, just the ones that deal with any official documentation or a witness needs to be present.
TB: If you would just request these off, I'd be happy to accommodate you.
Me: And I'm very grateful, but I didn't know two weeks in advance that he was going to break his elbow, soo...
TB: I'm just worried about you leaving the department high and dry. Well, I just don't know if it's going to be an excused absence.
Me: Well, that's fine, but I was here for my shift; I just left early...
TB: Well, I just wanted to check in on him.

I hope they have a cancellation before that! is there no where else you can go?
Wow what a bitch (guessing that's what TB stands for) wow. What a dick move. You were there, you had to leave early. Like, youre a good worker, you stuck with them through all these years, like the few times you necessarily need off, they are being a bitch about it.
and if you are interested, I had some older, dirty looking guy touch my today at work, on my shoulder, and I was so shocked and disgusted. Don't touch me. Do NOT touch me. I do not like being touched by strangers. I don't mind people I know touching me on shoulders, arms, etc, but if you're a stranger, fuck you, don't touch me. the girl next to my station was so shocked and disgusted too. she said she would have broken his finger if he did that to her.
