Filled this out. It took me a bit longer than I expected it would, not because it's long, but because I had to ponder my answers so that they were consistent and matched my opinions. Lol. xD

"Are you concerned about inflation and prices of Fairy Coins and old limited items in the market getting more expensive if more food becomes available?"

Forces me to give an inaccurate answer. I said "no," but that's not entirely true. Yes, a flood of money increases inflation. That's the exact cause of inflation, after all, more money in any economy. However old limited items here on KOfK are un-gettable at ANY price, they simply aren't even there, so having more money won't affect getting them. For me anyway.

So just to clarify on that. Nice poll though. :mcsquee:
I interpreted "old" limited items to include MT/TTs from 1 or 2 years ago, which aren't as hard to find. :')
Even the ones much older than that aren't really hard to find/expensive. I know, because I regularly auction them off. The items from early 2010 for example, so basically almost 5 years old, hardly sell for more than 1500 food a piece. That's less than some current MT items sell for. :mcshock:
Not to mention a winged halo made less than 300k!
:qsweat:

Then again you try finding the snow hair easily,
I've been looking for over a year Amura even longer.

There are certain items that do take time, whether you like it or not.
If you gave it to us on a silver plate, I be bored.
(knowing me id find something pointless to collect but you know)
:mclaugh:

I prefer old items to be expensive no offense sometimes the fun in owning an item is
1, knowing its hard to get
2, cost you arm and leg
3, sometimes it's because its an amazing item you just got to have!

And it don't matter where you play, browser games, online games, hell even real life!
There always items that are stupidly expensive and if you are lucky enough to own something that is expensive...
Don't you just love it that little bit more? :mcconf:

Anyhow- if you had a comments box at the bottom I would of put something like that lols :d

:qh:

At the moment though, the current population of KOFK has only a limit on the amount of food currently available
and I think it's very balanced to what we have.
Thus why certain items are not making much is simply no one has that much food points to start with,
so people spend more wisely. :mchappy:

Not to mention if your collecting wild knuffels / Items / using day care,
there all food sinks.

Which one? The Doughnight 09 Snow Hair? The last time I auctioned one off it went for 5000 :food: , so I have not auctioned it off ever since, since it didn't seem like the demand was high for it if people didn't bid more than that on an event item that was several years old. If you mean the Snow Hiair1 and 2, they went for more, but Amura even bought one of them from me.

I've always thought Firn's market wasn't advertised enough. I don't stalk the market or the link, so I always forget about it. And some people may never find it in the first place. Maybe there should be a button in the market for it?

I agree with l-lappy on this topic.

While I think a huge inflaction -or a manipulated one- is a problem, I have no issues with old items being expensive.
Actually feels a bit sad when they end up being cheapies.

I guess that's because it becames a challenge for those users who have been members for a while, have been active and also donate.
If you are like that (as l-lappy and myself) keeping up with updates is rather easy. So a challenge is honestly welcome.

Newer users may not be able to afford a Kuroneko, but the site is full of wonderful items they may quest and afford. It just takes a bit of work.

Imho what they probably need is a bit of help on how to get started - I'm afraid the site may be complicated for them, as we have so many options and they don't have the patience to figure them out.
"Making it easy" but not in the sense of granting double FPs.

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about regarding missing/not being able to find items that have gone on sale... I mean, with the wishlist-notification, it tells you every time something you want is for sale right?

As for older items, a bunch of the items on my wishlist have NEVER gone on sale since the wishlist-notification was invented, not ONCE. And of the rest (like Vampire items), when they go on sale - like twice a year, maybe - the person wants like 200k for them, so they're virtually un-buyable. I have no problem with expensive, but expensive is not the same as un-buyable. And un-buyable I have a problem with. :mcsweat:

Not everyone sells on the market. :mcheh:
A lot of users tend to trade items for older items.

Anyhow it only seems unbuy-able because a few of the users that own the items that are willing to sell.

Some of them generally paid a high price when they originally got them,
so I don't blame a certain few users for not letting them go any lower.

There are of course a few people are just greedy.
:mcheh:

There are some users that love there item that much and that is what it would take to get it off them, a high price.
:mcheh:

If there was a few more in circulation, Yes you may / may not get it cheaper.
As it's pot luck who wins the auction and who's hand it falls into.

Also though if it falls into a collectors collection,
it will never come out again on the market ... So it's like it was never there.

That's just how it goes ... anywhere pretty much unfortunately :mcheh:

(Oh oh- if you vist Firn Hangout there is always a link to her market.
Where you can check whats she got up for bids!
Don't give up! You'll get one at the right price someday!
:mchappy: )

And if you look at the dates, you can see that the prices even dropped by around 50% within a year.
