I think it's because that's about when they start developing a personality and free will. It's weird.

Yay set schedules!

What an asshole. Like forever or for a trip/vacation thing?

I try positive reinforcement. It helps a bit I think.

I like your avatar! It's creepy cute!

Ah okay. All she likes to do now is say 'no' and throw fits. It's so annoying. I hate that high pitched wail kids make.

He really is, he's said a lot of shitty things past few days.
No like he wanted him to move away perm with him. He has no friends or anything so he just clings to M.

:P

Thank you! xD I figured I'd use this ugly jester hat.

Me too. Oh god. It's terrible.

Shitty people are shitty. That's pretty sad. My mom doesn't have any friends, but she doesn't cling to me. Thankfully. Cuz if she did I would probably murder her. A lot. Ew.

I really like the jester hats, but it's pretty hard to match them up well. lol

And it's also annoying cause they usually quit listening to me once she makes any kind of noise... so I end up repeating myself. I don't really like even going over there.

It is sad... he's unhappy so he's trying to make us unhappy I guess. It was stupid how he started all this while M was sick too, like he needed that.

I wish we could have hair under them, that forehead... lol.

Yeah, parents tend to either ignore their kids or are way over attentive. It's annoying.

What a butt head. He sounds like he could be a narcissist.

I wish we could too. Someone suggested it, but the hair would stick out the back.

Too true. I think they give her TOO much attention, the second someone stops playing with her she throws a horrible tantrum and they always give into her, she's going to be a nightmare when she gets older. :mcsweat:

He is... he's also really paranoid and stuff. I sort of knew I wouldn't like him as soon as I met him, I know that's bad. :mcblush:

Ah yeah I do remember reading a thread where they were talking about it. Ugh my poor cat is constipated I think, or he hasn't had enough food going through him. This sucks, I feel like everything is going wrong all at one time. I don't even know what to do anymore. :qcry:

One of my cousins is like that. She spoils her children completely rotten and then wonders why they misbehave all the time. It's because no one is strict with them. I was in the car with the 3 of them and their grandmother (my aunt) and one of them started whining and then crying. Their granny started cooing at the 3-4 year old and trying to get her to be quiet. The kid wouldn't shut up. So I turned around and looked at her and firmly said "Be quiet." She shut up. There was a few times that she started whining again but I kept firmly telling her to be quiet and she would.

The same thing with the same child happened later at Christmas. She was 5 or so around then. She kept turning on one of those wind up music globe things over and over and over. A different aunt said "Now sweetie, don't you think you should stop that?" The kid of course says no, and she says it right out. My aunt is shocked. I'm not and I look at her in the eyes and I say "Please stop turning that on." I said it very firmly. She obeyed immediately and went to play with something else.

You can't coddle children all the time. You have to be firm AND loving. They need parents, not friends.

Interesting. Well Kevin and I immediately disliked his dad when we met him. Ugh. I'm kind of hoping that his mom got pregnant by a different dude, but they look almost exactly alike. They both even have attached earlobes. Oh well. We only talked to him once and we never plan to again. Unfortunately it seems like his mom is still into his dad. Which is bad for everyone. For such a nice, albeit not very smart and racist, lady she sure has horrible taste in men.

It does seem like your poor kitty has been having a lot of health issues lately. I'm so sorry that you're having a hard time. I wish there was something that I could do to help, but I've barely got enough money for all my bills and stuff at the moment.

Yeah I agree with you about the child stuff.

I'm not overly fond of my own dad either! Ah, family... what can you do.

Yeah, I'm really stressed and upset by all of this. I wish I knew what to do.

Lots of people with narcissistic parents go no contact. They just don't talk to them anymore.

I'm trying to do that with my mom, but it's hard because I still depend on her for things. Ugh.

Have you tried meditation?
