Is there typically some ideal time to wait?

(in a show with a time traveler, I feel like clever writers could weave in some VERY interesting things that don't show up or make sense until several episodes later and that rewatching could become a lot of fun with things like that going on. Or a whole elaborate easter egg scene where at exactly halfway through (or some other time marker) there's a little blip of a thing happening, and you have to record and collect them and then either watch them all forwards or backwards and you get a little extra).
